Acqua –– Cup
Handthrown cup, trimmed and glazed. All glazes are created by me by mixing raw materials and metallic oxides for colour and texture. The cup is then fired once at 980°C before being glazed. All glazes are created by me by mixing raw materials and metallic oxides for colour and texture. A second firing, this time at 1280°C, melts the glaze and gives them their final appearance. The whole process can take several weeks, which is all carried out by me in my studio in Locarno.
For this cup I've used a light stoneware. The interior and the exterior are glazed with a white and green glaze. Please note that, as with any handmade product, the piece might vary slightly from the photos. As each piece is handmade and unique in their way, irregularities may excist and are not considered defects.
